Participants will learn about Pivot Tables and a few of the more advanced options such as conditional formatting. Previous experience with Microsoft Excel is required. Registration required.

Children's Summer Reading Kick-off Party

6:00 p.m.

On Your Mark, Get Set… READ! Start your Summer Reading Program with a bang! Games, music, bubbles and more will be included. No registration is required. All ages. Free bike helmets will be available (while supplies last) courtesy of the Portage County Health Department. University Hospitals, Portage Learning Center, Safe Communities, and Portage County WIC will all have representatives at this event.


Summer Reading Programs

May 28-July 23

The Children's, Teen, and Adult Programs this year have health and wellness themes. Children pick up a Reading Record in the Children’s Department and read to earn prizes.
Teens and Adults receive a ticket for every book, audiobook, graphic novel, magazine, or eBook checked out. Return tickets before July 23 to enter our weekly and grand prize drawings.


The Science of Food

Wednesday, June 1
7:00 p.m.

Participants will make strawberry shortcake while discussing how whipped cream is made and how the berries are macerated. Then participants get to eat the results! All supplies will be provided by the library. Registration required. Ages 16 and up.

Computer Basics

Thursday, June 2
2:00-3:00 p.m.

This will be an opportunity for people completely unfamiliar with computers to get some basic hands-on training and begin to feel more comfortable with the technology.
Registration is required and space is limited.
