Watch and discuss anime with others who enjoy Japanese animation and culture. Ages 13 and up. Anime may be rated PG or PG-13. No registration required. Anime Club meets one Saturday every month from 2-4p.m.

Our Guiding Ohio Online AmeriCorps member will offer a class on the basics of PowerPoint. Through hands-on activities, participants will learn how to add text and pictures, add and rearrange slides, and preview their work. Registration is required and space is limited.

Author Regina Brett will be at Reed Memorial Library to discuss her career and sign copies of her new book God is Always Hiring: 50 Life Lessons for Finding Fulfilling Work.” Regina Brett is a New York Times bestselling author who was born in Ravenna, Ohio. In addition to writing three books of inspirational non-fiction, she is a columnist for the Plain Dealer, where she was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in Commentary in both 2008 and 2009. Copies of all three of her books will be available for sale at the event. Registration is not required for this free event.

This week’s film from Walt Disney Animation Studios is an action-packed comedy-adventure about the special bond that develops between Baymax, a plus-sized inflatable robot, and prodigy Hiro Hamada.
