Volunteer and be involved in planning fun activities. This month we'll plan the Teen Improv Day for September. The group meets the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm. Stop by a meeting to join. Open to grades 5-12.

SketchUp Workshop

Wednesday, August 5
6:00-7:00 p.m.

SketchUp is a free program that is used for 3D drawing, such as sketching out a floor plan and looking at various interior design options, or modeling parts for furniture and other objects. Participants will learn how to create basic floor plans and furniture pieces to practice drawing in 3D. Basic mouse and keyboard skills are required. Registration required.

Tech Time for Tots

Children 2-5 years of age along with their caregivers will be introduced to great apps to use on iPads and Android tablets. For August, sessions will be Thursday, August 6, OR Wednesday, August 12 from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. No registration required.

Tablet Time

Saturday, August 8
1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

Children of all ages enjoy the many fun and educational apps installed on our Library’s tablets. No registration required.

Adult Book Discussion

The Dressmaker by Kate Alcott.
This gripping historical fiction title relates the story of Tess, an aspiring seamstress hired by famous designer Lady Lucile Duff Gordon to be her personal maid on the Titanic. Once on board, Tess catches the eye of two very different men before disaster strikes and she is one of the last people allowed on a lifeboat. Copies of this title will be available to borrow about a month before the discussion and may be picked up at the library circulation desk

LEGO Mania

Saturday, August 15

Family members of all ages are invited to build and create with LEGOs and discover new LEGO apps on our iPads. We will provide the LEGOs and iPads for the program. No registration required.

Teddy Bear Super Sleepover

Monday, August 17

Children are invited to bring their teddy bear or stuffed animal to the library for a teddy bear sleepover program. Participants will enjoy a bedtime story with their stuffed animal, movie and a craft. Pick-up will be Tuesday, August 18 starting at 9:00 a.m. Registration required.
