Lego Club

Kids in grades K-5 can join us at Reed Memorial Library on Tuesday, September 8, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. to complete a LEGO creation based on a theme. This club meets on the second Tuesday of every month. The library will provide the LEGOs, participants will provide the imagination! Participants are welcome to donate LEGOs to the library for future programs.

Japanese Club

Children in grades K-5 can join us at Reed Memorial Library on Wednesday, September 9 at 6:30 p.m. to learn about Japanese culture, language, and to play games. This club meets once a month. Registration is required for this free event. 

Teen Anime Club

Saturday, September 12
2-4 p.m.

Watch and discuss anime with others who enjoy Japanese animation and culture. Ages 13 and up. Anime may be rated PG or PG-13. No registration required. Anime Club meets one Saturday every month from 2-4p.m.

Homeschool at the Library

Homeschoolers in grades 2-5 and their parents are invited to Reed Memorial Library on Monday, September 14 at 2 p.m. to have fun while learning library research skills. This monthly program allows participants to network with other homeschool families. Registration is required for this free event. 

iPlay

Kids in grades K-5 are invited to Reed Memorial Library on Wednesday, September 16 at 6:30 p.m. to come in and play on the iPads! Children may play what they want, or have a librarian suggest an app for their age and interests. No registration is required.

 

Read to a Dog

Children in grades 1-5 can join us at Reed Memorial Library on Saturday, September 19, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. to read aloud to a therapy dog. Reading to a dog can reduce anxiety and make children more confident. Sign-up for a 15 minute reading session with Doogie, our visiting therapy dog. Registration is required for this free event. 

Teen Improv Day

Saturday, September 26
2-4 p.m.

Teens are invited to play improvisation games based on the hit show, Whose Line Is It Anyway? Registration is required and participants must be ages 13 and up.

Movie Night

Wednesday, September 30
6:30-8:30pm

In this classic from 1960, an oppressed Mexican peasant village assembles seven gunfighters to help defend their homes. Starring Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen, and Charles Bronson. All ages. No registration required.
