Mitten Tree

Nov.1 - Dec. 8
Reed Memorial Library will host the Mitten Tree to collect donations of gloves, mittens, hats and scarves for all ages to be donated to Center of Hope, a local nonprofit organization that provides hot meals, food pantry service, warm clothing and other essential services for residents in need. If patrons would like to give a check as a gift they can make it out to “The Center of Hope.”

 

Lego Club

Thursday, November 20
6:30-7:30pm

Kids in grades K-5 can complete a LEGO creation based on a theme. We will supply the LEGOs, and meet on the third Thursday of every month. No registration is required for this free event. 

Tail Waggin’ Tutors

Saturday, November 22
10-11am

Read aloud to a dog. Many children have difficulties reading and as a result have developed self-esteem issues. Reading with a dog reduces that anxiety and makes them more confident. Grades 1-5. Registration is required for this free event. 

Holiday Mail for Heroes

November 1 through 25 Reed Memorial Library will host the “Holiday Mail for Heroes” program through which community members may fill out holiday greeting cards to be sent to the Red Cross for distribution to soldiers and veterans in locations such as military installations and veterans hospitals.

Junior Friends

Tuesday, December 2
6:30-7:30 p.m.

Volunteer and be involved in planning fun activities. The group meets the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm. Stop by a meeting to join. Open to grades 5-12.

Rubber Band Loom Club

Wednesday, December 3
6:30-7:30 p.m.

Kids is grades K-5 create bracelets, rings, and necklaces using rubber band looms. Bring your own rubber bands and looms. If you do not own a loom we will have some you may borrow. No registration required.
